Who we are
An Indonesian Partner for Global Fleets
Established in 1992, PT Jasindo Duta Segara is an Indonesian manning and crew management company. Under the leadership of Capt. Gu Jong Yul since 2006, we source, recruit, train and manage officers and ratings for merchant vessels worldwide.
What began as a Japan-focused crewing business has grown into a diversified crew management partner across eight vessel types. Today we work with shipowners and ship managers across Asia and Europe and continue to expand into specialised fleets and new international markets.
Our head office in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, houses our crewing, quality control, documentation and training teams, including dedicated classrooms, a computer training room and an auditorium.

Our head office in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, houses the teams that manage every contract: crewing, quality control, documentation and training. Dedicated classrooms, a computer training room and an auditorium sit in the same building, so pre-joining preparation and administration happen side by side.

Three Decades of Growth and Capability Building
- 1992
Company established in Jakarta.
- 2000
Capt. Gu Jong Yul begins working in the Indonesian crewing business.
- 2006
Capt. Gu Jong Yul acquires the company and renames it PT Jasindo Duta Segara.
- 2010
Expands beyond Japanese clients to Korean, Taiwanese and other international principals.
- 2016
Enters chemical tanker crew management.
- 2020
Begins VLCC crewing.
- 2021
Begins partial crew management for gas carriers.
- 2024
Begins full-vessel gas carrier manning with Indonesian crews.
