Data Privacy Policy
We handle sensitive personal data, passports, certificates and medical records, with the security and transparency that international shipowners and seafarers expect.
1. Data we collect
For seafarer applications we collect identity and contact details (name, email, phone, place and date of birth, height, weight), passport and Seaman's Book numbers, sea-service history, and copies of the documents you attach such as your CV, certificates and medical records. For principals and enquiries we collect the contact details you provide.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to assess applications, match crew to vessels, comply with flag-state and principal requirements, process documentation and payroll, and respond to your enquiries. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Consent
Your application is submitted only after you tick the consent statement on the form, in line with Indonesian Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection. You may withdraw consent at any time; we then stop processing the application unless we have another legal basis to keep it.
4. Security
Documents are transferred over HTTPS and stored with access controls. Only authorised crewing staff can access applicant records, and we apply least privilege across our systems.
5. Sharing with principals
With your consent, the profile information and certificates relevant to a specific opening are shared with the principal considering you. We share only what is necessary for recruitment and deployment.
6. Retention
We keep applicant data for as long as needed to manage your candidacy and to meet legal, flag-state and principal obligations. You may request access, correction or deletion at any time.
7. Your rights & contact
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by writing to crewing@jasindods.co.id. We respond in line with applicable data-protection standards.
